Preparing for Your Visit

Appointment Information

General Information: 
Thank you for choosing Kidney Specialists, PC. Our office staff will do everything we can to ensure your visit is timely, but please expect a longer wait-time. 
Please give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

We accept most insurance plans, so be sure to check with your insurance company to confirm that Kidney Specialists, PC is in-network with your policy prior to your first appointment. For patients without insurance, schedule an appointment with our staff by calling ​(901) 726-1199.

We have provided the following tips to help you prepare and get the most out of your visit. 
We look forward to speaking with you and welcoming you to our practice.


New Patients:

If you are a new patient, please bring the following to your appointment:
  • Valid government issued photo ID
  • Health insurance card (please verify your co-insurance if applicable)
  • List of all medications and dosages
  • Payment to cover your co-pay, due at time of service
  • Blood pressure readings and machine (if you are monitoring blood pressure at home)
  • ​Last lab date and information

​Established Patients:
If you are an established patient (if you have had an appointment with our office before), please bring the following to your appointment:
  • Valid government issued photo ID
  • Health insurance card (additionally, please notify our staff if your insurance has changed since your last visit)
  • List of all medications and dosages
  • Blood pressure readings

​Transplant Patients:
If you are a transplant patient, please make sure that you have a 12-hour trough time in between your last dose of antirejection medication, (Prograf, Cyclosporin, or Sirolimus) and the time you have your labs drawn.

Transplant follow-ups need to be 4 months apart from your last visit with the Transplant Clinic.

When do I need my labs? 
7-10 days before each visit.
Do I have to make an appointment for the lab?
No appointment is required for labs.
Do I have to make an appointment for my ultrasound?
Our office staff will make ultrasound appointments for you.
What are the most common lab Providers?
American Esoteric Laboratories (AEL) or through your primary care doctor
Do I need to update my insurance and HIPAA?
Yes, every year.
Can I text or email my labs? 
No, we do not have a secure email at this time.
